Multi Travel Visas Ltd is a specialist visa company, We assist customers with German Schengen visas and have vast experience of Schengen visa applications over the past 9 years.

Please note we are not German Embassy and are not affiliated by any government. You can make an application direct to them. If we handle your application, we will charge you an additional fee in return for providing advice on the requirements, taking responsibility for ensuring that your documentation is appropriate and lodging application on your behalf .

All applicants will be required to provide biometrics at the German visa centre in London from 20th of November 2015 as part of the visa process. Once the biometrics have been taken, your information will be stored in their system for the next 5 years.

For example, if an application was made at VFS Global for a Spanish visa after 20th November 2015, then the applicant will not to have give biometrics again when applying for a German visa at VFS within the next 5 years. Please note that the visa stamp must show 'VIS'. 

Processing time: from the date of appointment German visas take 5 working days for most nationals: S. African, Indian, Chinese, Russian, Thai, Turkish etc.

It takes 3 weeks for the following nationals: Afghanistan, Algeria, Bangladesh, Bahrain, Belarus, Burundi, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, Congo (Democratic Republic), Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Kazakhstan (diplomatic Passport only), Kenya, Kuwait, Mauritania, Morocco, Niger, Nigeria, North Korea, Oman, Qatar, Pakistan, Palestine, Palestinian Travel Document holders, Rwanda, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Sudan, South Sudan, Syria, Tunisia, Uzbekistan, Vietnam and Yemen.

We cannot apply for persons whose UK residence is in one the following locations: Scotland, Cumbria, Darlington, Durham, Hartlepool, Middlesbrough, Northumberland, Redcar and Cleveland, Stockton on Tees, Tyne and Wear (Tyneside), Guernsey, Jersey, Isle of Man, Northern Ireland, Gibraltar, as well as North Yorkshire with the exception of Selby and York. Any person in these areas must apply in person to the closest visa center or consulate (usually Edingburgh).

Important! If you were recently refused a visa from another Schengen embassy (such as Spanish) and there is an Embassy stamp in your passport then it may take 2 weeks to process your application.

Duration of the visa: decided only by the Embassy on the individual basis.

Requirements for spouses and civil partners of UK/EU citizens (over 18). You do not have to book tickets/accommodation before your visa is granted. For information on minors please contact us.

1) Passport, must have 2 blank visa pages with the mention “visa” to affix the visa sticker and must be issued less than 10 years ago, and a UK visa. If your UK visa is stamped in the old passport please provide both old and new passports - no need to transfer a stamp into a new passport.

Both passport and UK visa must be valid for 3 months longer than the requested visa, Embassy never makes exceptions to this rule.

If you have Schengen visas in the old passport(s) then please add old passport(s).

2) Two passport-size photo: in colour, with a light background, 45 x 35 mm, no headwear / glasses.Must be less then 1 month old. Do not attach photo to application form.

3) Application form, please use this link https://videx.diplo.de/videx/?0 to complete the form online through the German Visa centre's website. You will be required to sign on page number 4, 5 and 6. Duration of a visa and number of entries is decided by the Embassy only and can be different from what you asked on the form.

Please do not use the visa centre's website to book an appointment after completing the form as we will arrange for an appointment ourselves.

In addition to the regular requirements, the following nationals have to provide a full address of reference in Germany with postcode: Afghanistan, Algeria, Bangladesh, Bahrain, Belarus, Burundi, Congo, Egypt, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Kazakhstan (diplomatic Passport only), Kuwait, Mauritania, Morocco, Nigeria, North Korea, Oman, Qatar, Pakistan, Palestine, Philippines, Rwanda, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Sudan, South Sudan, Syria, Tunisia, United Arab Emirates (UAE), Uzbekistan, Vietnam and Yemen.

4) Spouse’s original UK/Irish/EU passport.

5) Marriage certificate or civil partnership certificate.

Documents not in English/German have to be translated and translation should be stamped by the  UK based consulate of the country that the original document was produced. It means Embassy stamp has to be only on translation. In this case you need only a ‘legalised’ translation. We can arrange a stamp from some Embassies for an additional fee, please contact us. 

6) Confirmed return airline/train/ferry ticket with EU National and applicant's name.

4) Return Confirmed tickets - Tickets must state the names of all applicants who are travelling. If you are driving please contact us, documents are different. (Flight, Train, Coach or Ferry)

5) Hotel booking.

If you will be staying with a friend or family, please contact us, as there are separate requirements.

7)Travel Insurance: stating area and expenses covered. 

If you are going skiing - travel insurance must state cover of Winter Sports.

If insurance provided with your bank account - original letter from your bank confirming it. Letter on headed paper, dated no older than 1 month.

8) 3 months bank statements, ending within last1 month, with your name; in credit, with £50 per day of stay. “Cash deposits” and credit cards are not accepted. Printouts from internet banking are OK.

If the last statement is older than 1 month please provide it plusa print-out with up-to-date balance with the same account number. This can be obtained instantly at the bank or from the internet banking.

9) If you cannot provide a bank statement - EURO travelers cheques of €60 per day of your trip.  

If Supported financially by another person please contact us and we can provide details of documents required.

10) For employed: Letter from Employer which must be: no older than 3 months, on ORIGINAL company’s headed paper; stating company’s registration or VAT number, your name, position, how much you earn, when you started work.

If your nationality is on the list above, where it takes 3 weeks to process application, this letter should also state your dates of travel.  

11) For supported by a spouse:  letter of support from the spouse stating who is paying for the trip; original spouse’s passport and original marriage certificate, spouse's employment letter or 3 payslips (as p.10), spouse's bank statement (as p.8).

Documents not in English/German have to be translated and translation should be certified from the respective consulate in London to legalise the document.

13) For self-employed: Letter (no older than 3 months) from an accountant or a solicitor.

14) For students: Letter from your College/University confirming attendance. Letter must be:no older than 1 months; on headed paper; stating name and dates of your course, confirming attendance. If your nationality is on the list above, where it takes 3 weeks to process application, this letter should also state your dates of travel.  

15) If your UK visa is ‘dependent’ (Tier 1 Dependant etc): original passport of the person your UK visa depends on plus original proof of relationship (marriage/birth certificate etc). This is required even if you have your own job and/or do not depend financially (your UK visa ‘depends’). Please read requirements to the foreign marriage certificates in p.12 above.
